RECOMMENDED LAS VEGAS BUFFET

As a foodie, I am sometimes jaded by the numerous buffets offered in the strip of Las Vegas.  However, I was impressed with Wicked Spoon, a new gem added to the numerous buffets Las Vegas has to offer.  Wicked Spoon is located inside the new Cosmopolitan Hotel/Casino in City Center which opened in December 2010.  First of all, it's a culinary experience.  For me, it's like trying out several restaurants that offer my favorite foods from local restaurants rather than fast foods.  The dishes are presented in pre-set individual servings as if you ordered them in a restaurant.  The concept works because you do not tend to overeat or waste portions that you didn't mean to take much of in case you didn't like it.  The presentation is on the gourmet side even as you load up your large square shaped plate.

Photos below show some of the examples of the dishes I plated or they offer:

EACH DISH SEEMS LIKE AN INDIVIDUAL ORDER

THE CHANDELIER

They also have a variety of vegetables and mini dishes of salads to choose from so you can eat healthy even as a vegetarian.  They had Caesar salad, miso-shrimp salad, spinach with goat cheese and tomatoes, and cooked vegetables as well from Brussels sprouts to green beans.  I hope that when more people discover this venue, they could keep up with its quality.

I like that there is a vegetarian section - healthy choices for the health conscious.
